Big Breakfast Plus says goodbye to Project Coordinator Jo
As a small but busy homeless charity in Swindon, we are fortunate to have a wonderful team of staff, volunteers and trustees supporting our work with homeless people. In many ways we (and our guests) are like a family, so it is with sadness that we announce that Project Coordinator Jo Heaven will be leaving Big Breakfast Plus for pastures new.
During her almost 2 years in post to date, Jo has built good, solid relationships with the team of paid staff and volunteers, and with our guests. She has been instrumental in recruiting new volunteers to support our work and in encouraging our guests to put on an apron, roll up their sleeves and get involved in cooking, cleaning and befriending.
No stranger to an early start, Jo has braved cold, wet and windy mornings to ensure our guests can enjoy a full English breakfast and access to the support they need, 7 days a week all year round. We’re also really grateful to Jo for her coordinating our move to The Haven earlier this year, along with her enthusiasm in supporting our role at the multi-agency hub managed and facilitated by Swindon Night Shelter.
Jo’s last day with Big Breakfast Plus will be at the end of September.
We’re grateful to Jo for all her hard work and we’re sure you will join us in thanking her and wishing her every success in her future endeavours, including focussing on her own charity Empower the Gambia.
On behalf of the guests, staff, volunteers and trustees at Big Breakfast Plus, we wish you all the very best, Jo!
In preparation for Jo’s departure, we’re currently advertising for a new Project Coordinator. If you’d like to find out more about this exciting role, please visit our ‘Vacancies’ page.
